About Turku Railway Station

The first station in Turku was built 145 years ago alongside new railway tracks leading to Tampere. After 23 years of operating, the station started receiving frequent traffic as a new line with Helsinki was established. However, the current Turku station (rebuilt in 1940) cannot compare to its ancestor, as it is a lot more modern and has a minimal feel to it. Turku Central station houses two platforms and four tracks and is an essential stop in railway lines to Helsinki and Joensuu, Naantali, and Uusikaupunki. It is open daily from early morning until 21.00.
