About St. Petersburg Railway Station

Unlike other city stations, Finland Station (Finlandsky) was designed by architects from Sweden and started operations in 1870. You will find a soviet station inside Finlandsky Station - it was a way to honor Vladimir Lenin's arrival in Saint Petersburg from an exile in Switzerland. 

The station is an integral part of the high-speed Allegro train route connecting Saint Petersburg and Helsinki. The famous Lev Tolstoy train also passes the station on its way from the Finnish capital to Moscow.
